Phoenix Real Estate Market Analysis

Volatility in Stocks vs Private Real Estate

Phoenix was recently named the fastest-growing city in the country by the U.S. Census Bureau and it’s no surprise to us. Arizona has great weather, a thriving economy, and is rated by Kiplinger as being among the most tax-friendly states in the country.

In this video, Origin Principal Dave Scherer and Director of Acquisitions Thomas Briney tour several potential assets in surrounding sub-markets on an especially pleasant 108 degree day. We started the day off near the Arizona State University campus and quickly headed north to Pima Center to look at a few office developments.

After Pima Center, we drove west to McCormick Ranch and toured a multifamily property followed by a nearby competitive property. After a quick lunch, we continued further west to look at a potential recapitalization opportunity near Grand Canyon University.

To finish up the day, we headed south down Central Boulevard and toured an office building sitting directly in what believe to be the path of growth. We’re excited about Phoenix, and will continue to look for opportunities there, as one of our 10 favorite markets.
