PROPERTY HIGHLIGHTS

Star Metals is a $6 million preferred equity real estate investment in a Class A multifamily development located in the West Midtown submarket of Atlanta, Georgia. Construction is on track for completion in December of this year and, when complete, the complex will feature 409 apartment units and 16,200 square feet of ground-floor retail space. We were motivated to participate in Star Metals due to its protected basis, high expected return, seasoned development team, and desirable location. The first three buildings have received their temporary certification of occupancy and residents have begun moving in.

Testing Smart Studio Technology

Our investment management team is constantly innovating to find the best technologies for our residents. We’re actively testing Ori’s Smart Suite technology in select studio units at one of our QOZ Fund developments, Pilsen Gateway, in Chicago. This technology provides convertible arrangements including a pocket office or a smart suite studio combining closet, bed, and desk – dramatically increasing the functionality and livable square footage of these space-constrained apartments.
