Canton Sherman

Canton is a key member of Origin Investments’ investment management team, where he oversees ground-up development execution and construction management, with a focus on the firm’s assets in Texas. 
 
Before joining Origin, Canton worked at LDG Development, where he managed the development of multifamily properties in the Dallas and Austin markets. His responsibilities encompassed all phases of the pre-development and construction process. During his three-year tenure, Canton closed on over 2,000 units across eight projects, representing a total development cost exceeding $600 million. 
 
Canton holds a bachelor of arts degree in business, with a major in finance and a concentration in real estate, from the University of Texas at Austin. A native of Midland, Texas, he is deeply connected to his roots and enjoys spending time with his family across the state and avidly following Longhorn sports.
