Bill Stewart

Bill has 22+ years of experience in all facets of multifamily development and construction. As the head of development and construction at Origin, Bill is responsible for a portfolio of nearly 6,700 units and over $2 billion in development cost. He also leads due diligence and pre-construction efforts.

Prior to joining Origin, Bill orchestrated due diligence, entitlements, pre-construction, self-perform contracting, and owner’s representative duties at firms such as Core Spaces, the nation’s premier student housing developer, and Gables Residential, a leading vertically integrated multifamily REIT. Bill’s experience includes a variety of product types, such as garden and high-density wood framed projects as well as high-rise concrete construction, in markets throughout the country.

Bill received a Master of Architecture degree and an MBA from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He and his wife reside in the Chicagoland area with their three children.
